Sharmila Gopisetti

Dr Sharmila Gopisetti is a UK trained Pediatric Intensive Care Consultant. She has worked as a Pediatric Intensive Care Consultant at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. Sharmila has medical degree and MD in Pediatrics from University of Health Sciences, India. She pursued further Pediatric training in Newcastle and her Pediatric intensive care training has been in Great North Children's Hospital, Freeman Hospital in Newcastle, and Great Ormond Street Hospital in London before receiving CCT in Pediatric Intensive Care Medicine. Sharmila has a wide range of experience in managing critically ill children with respiratory, cardiac, neurology, trauma, burns, haemato oncology and other problems needing intensive care therapy She has also been the Clinical Lead for Organ for Organ Donation at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. Along with clinical management, Sharmila has been in various leadership roles and has made significant contributions to education and training in Pediatric Intensive Care Medicine and Postgraduate Medicine in the UK. She has been the Associate Director for Medical Education at Manchester Foundation Trust and the PICMISAC Quality Assurance Lead for Pediatric Intensive Care Training in the UK (MBBS, MD Pediatrics, MRCPCH, PG cert Clinical Education Newcastle).
