Ramkrishna Salunke

Ramkrishna graduated from Bharati Vidyapeeth University, School of Optometry, Pune, India. He underwent his clinical training at the renowned L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, India (NABH accredited) where he trained under a team of highly specialist Ophthalmologists and Optometrists. Ramkrishna has over 12 years of clinical experience of working in reputed eye centres and hospitals, both in India and UAE. His extensive experience covers all branches of Optometry including: Clinical optometry, Contact lenses including specialty lens fittings, Pediatric, Adult and Geriatric vision care, Low vision care, Occupational optometry and Ocular diagnostics. Having built and refined his Optometry skills, he progressed to gain invaluable experience in monitoring and managing Keratoconus, Post LASIK ectasia and Myopia control in the Pediatric population. Prior to joining American Hospital Dubai, Ramkrishna was a Senior Optometrist leading the Optometry services from its infancy to a fully operational service renowned for its quality and excellence in Optometry support and care at Moorfields Eye Hospital, Abu Dhabi. He is a member of Indian Optometry Association (IOA) and Optometry Council of India (OCI). Ramkrishna has led several workshops for under graduates on refraction and contact lenses at various optometry institutes and hospitals. In addition to providing continuous education and training programs (CET) to newly joined optometrists in previous organizations.
