Dr. Ibrahim El Husseini is a U.S. board certified Pulmonary & Critical Care Physician. Dr. El Husseini also held the title of Assistant Professor of Medicine, at Rutgers University-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey/ United States. Dr. El Husseini completed his residency in Internal Medicine in New York City, where he also served as Chief Resident, at one of the busiest hospitals in the United States. Following residency, he completed a fellowship in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine at Rutgers University/ Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital which is large academic quaternary care center in New Jersey and served as Chief Fellow. Dr. El Husseini went on to pass the National Board of Echocardiography: Advanced Critical Care echo and received the outstanding fellow award for the year twice during his fellowship. Dr. El Husseini then joined Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital as a pulmonary & Critical Physician and held the position of Assistant Professor of Medicine at Rutgers University, receiving 5 Awards for best physician/teacher during his time, in addition to holding the position of Director of the Medical ICU. Dr. El Husseini joins the American Hospital of Dubai as a Pulmonary & Critical Care Consultant, with expertise in Asthma including difficult to treat Asthma, COPD, Emphysema, Interstitial Lung disease, Pleural effusions, Respiratory infections, Chronic Bronchitis, Bronchiectasis, various aspects of Critical Care, mechanical ventilation, shock management and invasive procedures in the ICU.
