Assistant Professor Dr. Hanaa El-Zawawy is a Consultant Endocrinologist with over 14 years of clinical experience. Assistant Professor Dr. El-Zawawy had her MBBCH with honour from Alexandria University, Egypt where she completed her residency program at the Endocrinology department under the supervision of a group of eminent professors of Endocrinology. By the end of her residency training, Assistant Professor Dr. El-Zawawy was awarded her Master's degree (MSc) in 2011, followed by her Doctorate degree (MD) in Endocrinology in 2015. After which she worked as a Consultant of Endocrinology at Alexandria Main University Hospital, Egypt. Assistant Professor Dr. El-Zawawy has a special interest in Thyroid diseases as she had her research work in her MSc and MD on various thyroid diseases. In her role as a staff member at Alexandria University Faculty of Medicine and her academic rank as an Assistant Professor, Assistant Professor Dr. El-Zawawy was actively involved in medical education for both undergraduate and postgraduate students and residents at Alexandria University. Assistant Professor Dr. El-Zawawy is a member of the European Society of Endocrinology and the Egyptian Society of Endocrinology and obesity. Assistant Professor Dr. El-Zawawy participates in many international Endocrinology conferences and workshops every year. Assistant Professor Dr. Hanaa El-Zawawy authors many peer-reviewed international publications in the field of Endocrinology and she was cited many times with a high h-index. Also, Assistant Professor Dr. El-Zawawy is an active reviewer in many international journals. Assistant Professor Dr. El-Zawawy received several awards from her department and from Alexandria University for being an active and dedicated member and for her academic achievements as well.
