Fathi Azribi
Dr Azribi is a senior consultant medical oncologist, graduated from Al-Fateh University, Tripoli, Libya, then completed his specialty training in Oncology in the UK and obtained the Certificate of Completion of Training in Medical Oncology.
He took several positions as a consultant Medical Oncologist in the UK, Libya and UAE and had been the Chief of Medical Oncology Division at Tawam Hospital, UAE from 2017-2022.
He has an extensive experience in medical oncology. His main interest is thoracic, breast, gynecological and gastrointestinal malignancies with expertise in treating different types of cancers using all types of systemic treatments including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, hormonal and targeted therapy.
His passion is to provide the best quality care to his patients, eagerly seeking the most up to date evidence and follow the international guidelines, yet respecting patients' wishes, values and cultural backgrounds.
He strongly believes in team-work and highly values input from all members of medical team, nurses and other hospital staff. He continuously advocates multidisciplinary team meetings and approach to treat all cancer patients to ensure the best outcome for our patients.
In addition to his clinical skills, He also has research interests and published several papers and abstracts in peer reviewed journals. He is a regular speaker at different oncology conferences and meetings and active member of several oncology societies such as EOS, ASCO and ESMO.
Dr Azribi is a keen teacher and continuously involved in teaching and training of nurses, medical students, intern and junior doctors, residents and fellows. He has established the first Medical Oncology Fellowship program in UAE at Tawam Hospital. He currently holds the positions of adjunct clinical professor of Medical oncology at Gulf medical University and adjunct clinical assistant professor at University of Sharjah.
