Tasnim Za'balawi

Ms. Tasnim Zabalawi is a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist, who has recently joined our Rehabilitation Department, with her, she brings specialized knowledge and skills in the field of pediatric speech therapy.  She works alongside our pediatric occupational therapist, pediatric physiotherapist, psychiatrist, and psychologist in a multidisciplinary team for a holistic approach to assessment and treatment.

Ms. Zabalawi received her bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language and Hearing Sciences from the University of Jordan.  She works with babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children. She is a great advocate of early intervention and aims to work with her clients as early as possible, even as young as 6 months old babies, to maximize the benefit of the intervention. During her professional career, she had the opportunity to work with a variety of populations and disorders, for example, but not limited to, children on the spectrum, language delays, apraxia of speech, and speech sound disorders. Ms. Zabalawi gained experience working in a variety of settings including medical centers, schools, and clinics. She has specialized training in orofacial myofunctional therapy, oral placement therapy, and ABA methodology training for therapists. Ms. Zabalawi provides direct client care in 1:1 and group settings utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training, using behavioral analysis methods to establish the foundations of learning and making the child ready for speech-language intervention, then using methods such as child-led approach and play therapy.
