The American Hospital Dubai has a broad range of comprehensive medical services including both diagnostic and treatment programs.

If you or your family require diagnosis or treatment in a speciality not offered at the American Hospital Dubai or, alternatively, you may wish to have a second opinion, the physicians and Hospital Administration are most happy to facilitate a second opinion either locally or internationally. Indeed, we have a number of internationally recognized medical institutions with whom we are affiliated both in America and Europe.

Should you wish to have a second opinion, we would kindly ask that the following steps be taken:

	If you wish to have a consultation from another physician within the hospital, please consult the hospital physician responsible for your care and indicate your wish to have a second opinion. The physician involved will be supportive and helpful in facilitating this process.
	If you wish to have a consultation from a physician who is outside of the hospital (in the community, in another city, in another country), please convey this request to the physician in charge of your care, or alternatively the Head Nurse will refer your request to the Medical Director who will facilitate a consultation.
	The above steps are necessary as our hospital policy necessitates that all consultations must be physician to physician. You should also know that any physician who does not have privileges in our hospital must have appropriate qualifications and be duly accredited by the Hospital Credentialling Committee or the Medical Director before he/she is permitted to provide assessment and treatment.
	As a final note,the hospital offers a telemedicine consultation service to several international medical centers outside the UAE. Ask your physician about this service if you are interested.
